What are your items made out of?
We use different materials for difference accessories. For instance, our helmets are made out of BJB Enterprises or Smooth-On Resins, which are a rigid plastic material. Our flexible cowls and armor accessories are made out of Smooth-On Urethane. How are you helmets and cowls sized?
We size most of our helmets and cowls to fit a 24" head. In some instances, there are products with sizing options for a 22" head. These 22" items are usually targeted towards women and younger people such as teens. The 22" items have also been known to fit adult males with smaller heads, but we make no guarantees towards a specific fit.
How do I measure my head?
I like to refer to this method of measurement.
My head measures smaller than 24", will the helmet/cowl fit me?
Short answer is yes. Although the items are designed for a snug fit on a 24" head, they can still be worn by people with smaller heads (within 22"-24"). In the event that the helmet is a bit loose fitting you can insert cushioning such as, helmet pads or upholstery foam into the helmet. This will not only stabilize the fit but will make the helmet more comfortable overall.
Below you will find an example of such an instance. This is Instagram personality @batsquez wearing one of our 24" cowls. He has a 22.5" head and was nice enough to send us some before and after adding cushioning pics. As you can see adjusting the fit can be accomplished quite easily.
The LEDs eyes are awesome! But can you see through them?
Yes and no... The LED panels are transparent and do not limit your vision when the LEDs are turned off. However, when turned ON your vision is limited based on the lighting in the surrounding area. If the area is dark or dimly lit, you will not be able to see as your eyes will focus on the LEDs. If the lighting in the area is well lit, then your eyes will focus through the LED panels and onto the lighting outside the mask... hence, you will be able to see.
What kind of Batteries do you need for the LEDs?
The battery packs require (2) CR2032 batteries.
Can your helmets be used for Airsoft or Paintball?
No. The helmets are wearable costume props made only for cosplay or display purposes. They are not built to withstand impacts as a result of Air-soft or Paintball pellets. If you use your Dark Knight FX helmets or accessories for any purposes outside of cosplay, you are using them at your own risk, and we will not be held responsible for any accidents or injuries as a result.
Can I wear your helmets or cowls on my motorcycle?
No. The helmets are wearable costume props made only for cosplay or display purposes. They are not built for motor use, nor will they withstand impacts as a result of an accident. If you use your Dark Knight FX helmets or accessories for any purposes outside of cosplay, you are using them at your own risk, and we will not be held responsible for any accidents or injuries as a result.
Can you make them bulletproof?
No. Our products are wearable costume props made only for cosplay or display purposes. They are not built for crime fighting or to withstand impacts as a result of live ammunition. If you use your Dark Knight FX helmets or armored accessories for any purposes outside of cosplay, you are using them at your own risk, and we will not be held responsible for any accidents or injuries as a result.
Do your Armor Pieces come with harnessing? [ie. Torso Armors, Gauntlets/Shin Guards]
No. It is up to the buyer to attach his/her own harnessing to the armored pieces as every costume setup is different. Some people prefer straps and buckles, while others use Velcro and others prefer more permanent attachment methods and adhere them directly to a jacket or compression shirt using products like SikaFlex 221 or DAP Rapid Fuse.
Do you take custom commissions?
The short answer is no... Since this is a one-person operation (two when my wife is home to help) I don't have time to do one-off commissions. I am usually completely booked just trying to keep up with the orders placed for items currently available on my shop. However, if you want to request a certain piece you can contact me. If I feel there is a market for it, I will look into making it and adding it to my shop.
When does the item ship?
Since these items are in high demand and are custom, made to order pieces, please allow 8-12 weeks prior to shipping except for items listed as ready to ship. I stress that these are only estimates and production/shipping times can be much shorter or take longer depending on the production methods required for a particular item. If you have a deadline in which the item has to reach you, I highly recommend you contact me to verify that I can complete the project on time before you commit to an order. I am a one-man operation and wear many hats in and outside the business (husband, father, son, brother). As such if events in my life happen which call me to step away for short periods of time, please understand that I have no employees to fill my position while I'm away, so my products can arrive later than expected. My products however I consider to be some of the best on the market, so it's up to you to decide if you're comfortable making the purchase and possibly having to wait beyond the estimated shipping times.

Do you ship Internationally?
Yes we do. You can add an item to your cart and see how much shipping will cost to your country/region.
NOTE: Using USPS First Class International Shipping does not come with any kind of insurance. Although it is the most price friendly shipping service, there is no way for me to guarantee delivery once it has left my shop. What is your Refund Policy?
Because all items are custom and made to order, we do not offer refunds or exchanges. I encourage you to view all product images and read all item descriptions prior to ordering to include the estimated production/shipping times. Because the production times are only estimates, we do not offer refunds if the item arrives later than expected. I am being completely transparent in what to expect so it is the responsibility of the consumer to understand this and utilize their best judgement before committing to their purchase.
Under circumstances where an item is damaged upon arrival due to a manufacturing defect, we may offer an exchange on a case-by-case basis. Exchange claims must be received within 5 days of confirmed delivery. Please see our Refunds Policies Page for additional details.
NOTE: We do not offer any refunds of exchanges for international buyers that select USPS First Class International Shipping if their item is lost or damaged. Although it is the most cost-effective method to ship, they do not offer insurance and in some cases do not update tracking info.
